why do we do this
At Hartona, the work we do has always been about more than just that. It started with a personal reality - our founder's sister Nona lives with cerebral palsy. Watching how disability isolates not just individuals, but entire families, planted a question we couldn't ignore:
What if we could actually do something about it?
That question resuted into the Matter Foundation - a non-profit we built to create real, accessible support for people with disabilities and their families in Bulgaria.

Families with disabled members often can't access therapy, work, or community - not because support doesn't exist per se, but because it isn't tailored. We wanted to change that in a concrete, human way: through a social café, therapeutic spaces, and remote employment opportunities.
Through Hartona, we create remote work for family members of people with disabilities who cannot leave home. Through Matter Foundation, we fundraise, advocate, and build the infrastructure they need.
